Casio Exilim EX-Z450 and EX-Z90 12.1MP super-simple snappers

Casio Japan have unleashed a pair of new digital cameras, the Exilim EX-Z450 and EX-Z90, each toting 12.1-megapixels and various automated features which hope to take the setting-headache out of point-and-shoot photography.  The two snappers can each identify faces together with working out the best settings for landscapes, pets, fast-moving objects or other subjects.

There's also 1280 x 720 video recording, together with the ability to make Motion JPEG animations complete in-camera from a sequence of images.  The EX-Z450 is the larger of the two cameras and packs a 4x optical zoom and 3-inch LCD; meanwhile the EX-Z90 is a more compact model, and while still getting the same sized LCD only manages a 3x optical zoom.

Both cameras will arrive in Japan come September 11th, with the Z450 available in gold, pink, red, silver and brown, while the Z90 comes in gold, silver, pink, blue and black.  No confirmed pricing as yet.
