Canon EOS Rebel T4i photo and specs leak

Is Canon ready to drop another DSLR on us? That looks to be the case, as Canon Price Watch has served up an image of what looks to be the Canon T4i. The website believes that the new camera will be announced tomorrow along with two new lenses, the 18-135mm IS STM and pancake 40mm f/2.8. In addition to that, it looks like the full spec sheet for the camera has been posted up courtesy of Canon Rumors.

The T4i is listed as having an 18 megapixel sensor, possibly the same one found in the current T3i, as well as a 3-inch one million dot touchscreen LCD. ISO will range from 100-12,800, and is expandable to 25,600. A Live View mode will be on offer, and there will be a constant 9 point cross-type autofocus during Live View and video recording. Video is served up using H.264 and can be captured up to 1080p/30, with 24fps and 25fps modes too.

Naturally, you'll be able to shoot all your photos to an SDHC or SDXC memory card in either JPEG or RAW formats. The total weight of the camera (without a lens attached) is 520 grams, with battery life rated at around 440 shots when using only the viewfinder, 180 shots when using Live View, and about 1 hour and 40 minutes of video recording. If the rumors are true, keep an eye out for an official announcement tomorrow.
