Two new ultra zoom digital compact cameras to join Canon’s Powershot lineup are the 10 megapixel SX10 IS and SX1 IS. Both cameras feature a 20x optical zoom range of 28-560mm (35mm equiv.), DIGIC IV image processor, swivel LCD monitor and a newest 4 stops Optical Image Stabilizer.

The higher model SX1 sports a 1 / 2.3-inch CMOS sensor, higher continue shooting mode, better Viewfinder, larger 2.8-inch LCD monitor and capable to capture a full 1080p motion picture with HDMI video out. SX10 features a 1/ 2.3-inch type CCD sensor and smaller 2.5-inch screen size. The SX10 IS is priced at $399 and is estimated to be delivered in late October while Sx1 IS will be announced later for US market.
