The new stylish SD 1100 IS from Canon has an eight megapixels 1/2.5” Type CCD sensor with sensitivity ranges from ISO 100-1600. It features 2.5” LCD display, Canon’s proprietary DIGIC III imaging processor, 3x optical zoom range of 38mm-114mm (35mm equiv.) with a good old canon’s optical Image Stabilization.

Other features including face detection metering, auto ISO adjustment with motion detection function and 18 shooting modes. It runs on Lithium-ion rechargeable battery, supports SD, SDHC, MMC, MMCplus, HC MMCplus media storage and comes with a free 32mb memory card. The SD 1100 IS available in brown, silver, gold, blue and pink. It will be released around March with estimated cost of $250.
