32 Megapixels.  That’s how many Canon has allegedly stuffed into the updated version of its flagship 1Ds DSLR, up from a previous 21MP, according to a Canon Rumors report.  And it’s possibly due next week, although other specs are yet not detailed.

There are possibly two other lenses announced, an EF mount as well as a niche-market lens.  The rumor also suggests that Canon will release an IS version of its EF 24-70 f/28 lens.

Last of all, the Canon 60D may not be launching next week along the top-end 1Ds Mark IV.  Seems like Canon’s sticking with high-end this time.
