Canada & Europe latest to get Google Maps Navigation beta

Google Maps Navigation is now available for Canadian Android device users, as well as spreading across much of Europe, the next stage in the search giant's roll-out having brought the beta to the UK back in April.  Android device owners in Germany, France and Italy are among the European users granted Navigation functionality, which includes voice control and spoken turn-by-turn directions.

If you're in an area newly covered by beta access you'll need to be running an Android device with OS 1.6 or higher in order to install the new version of Google Maps.  The software itself is distributed via the Android Market, so head on in to see if you've been updated with the functionality.
