Can you spot the real pic? Honestly, when I first looked at these I couldn’t tell you which one was which.

I finally cheated and looked at the caption in the corner. It’s incredible just how realistic these are. I’m not a big fan of racing games, but I wouldn’t mind playing Grand Turismo: HD just for the realistic graphics.
People will talk all day about how superior graphics are one one console or the other, but I’ll have to say this really shows just how well the PlayStation 3 performs in that area.

I didn’t cactch this until after I looked a the caption, but the #23 looks fake because it doesn’t curve like the car or the #1 on the first car or is it jut me? But that is quite amazing though! Wow! i dont like the ps3 but i’m impressed!

i don’t want to spoil the excitement, but rendering a car body at this quality was already possible in the ps2 era. realistic impressions derive from factors like light/shadow interaction, reflections, volumetric effects (smoke, etc.) and overall material structure (like bump and displace). physics play a big role too (realism is measured by experience, i.e. how you would expect things to behave).
that of course doesn’t mean that the ps3 isn’t capable of anything like that, it’s just too hard to tell from a still image.
