There are only two mainstream religions that don’t encourage organ donations: Gypsies and a Japanese religion that I can’t quite remember the name (something like Shinto). All other mainstream religions encourage organ donation as a way to give the gift of life. Please register to be an organ donor–your organs do you no good after you die, and you could safe the lives of up to 8 people.

Not a fan of this idea. Just another way to get personal information out there that should be private. And what about people who can’t or won’t donate due to religous reasons? Should they be mocked or ridiculed on FB because they didn’t “elect” to donate? Seems obserd to throw your whole life on FB. Find another way to bring attention to a really important topic without subjected people to giving out private info.

I love the idea. I am a living organ donor, but before I chose to donate, I did not know anything about organ donation. Clicking a button is not the entire pack of information. People are not educated well enough on the statistics of the amount of organs that are needed today.
