Call of Duty: Ghosts Onslaught release for PC and PS4 hits February 27

The first downloadable content pack (DLC) for the game Call of Duty: Ghosts called "Onslaught" has officially been scheduled to arrive on the 27th of February. This puts the release at just around a month after the release of the Xbox One version of the DLC, creating a bit of an early, limited exclusive for the Microsoft-made machine. We've already had an extended look at this DLC for you to get an idea of what you're getting into in the near future.

Have a peek at SlashGear's own Call of Duty: Ghosts: Onslaught Review to see how this episode is going to go down. Xbox One players are already in the mix, making use of the new Maverick gun and shooting aliens "right in the ******* face" like the early high-end ad spot suggested. You'll not need to be "COD-napped", as Infinity Ward suggests, to play this bit though, it'll be available on every platform that's got Ghosts on it later this month.

What you're seeing here is four new maps, each of them unique and uniquely aimed at a certain kind of multiplayer action. One level has a moving trolley so you can lay low and wait for the level to move beneath you while you toss grenades. Another has graffiti-covered walls and a radioactive trailer in the middle that scrambles your scanners. A third is a reboot of one of the most classic levels in multiplayer history, and the fourth has Michael Myers from Halloween.

This expansion will cost you less than $20 USD and will be available online and through the PlayStation Network starting early in the morning on the 27th of February. We'll be the ones whipping our Maverick around wildly in an insane attempt at capturing a single kill – you'll be the ones likely headshotting us multiple times.
