I own a PS3 and a xBox360. I play online with the 360 tho. PS3 for single player games. And for blue ray movies but thats about it. I honestly believe if they make the 360 blue ray capable that PS3 will die quickly. Since thats the reason why I bought mine. It can play blueray and I can play a game or 2 like little big planet and Mod racing. But I buy all my online games for 360. I don’t mind paying 7 bucks a month or 49 for a year. They keep updating and I like there updates Ill keep paying. Sony did 1 update since Ive had a PS3.

I was so happy when I got black ops I was hoping it would be better then MW2 but for me I would rather buy MW2 over again. InfiWard Should be the only people to create CoD games. They started it they should keep going with it. Treyarchs games seem rather…uh lack of a better word “Selfish” They make games for them And they forget the 1 rule on making a game “You arnt making it for you but for the players” Because Players are the buyers. I found so many bugs including the enemy that wont die no matter how many times you shoot them. I ran into one of those a few times. 2 knifes in the back and 30 bullets and the guy still wouldn’t die. The Multi player could of been better I have no idea whats wrong but I was watching my brothers last killcam he did ona guy it was a head shot when he fired at the guys leg….. Or when I noobishly missed a guy it killed him a few sec later? No idea if its lag or the game has a slow response time but In MW2 Things like that have never happen to me or any one else yet I hear bitching in game about the bugs in Black Ops. I was really happy I got this game but Treyarch can’t make a CoD game to its fullest. That is only the half of the shit I found in that game annoying. The Single player was kind of disapointing. It was like watching some one else play. I like how you were able to fly in a black bird I didn’t like how it was only for like a minute. I like the new weapons but am pretty PO about the knifeing in the game being so horrible. Its like every time you try to knife you end up on there side. And why must shot guns be a first weapon? I hardly see any one use them anymore. A Sniper rifle not killing in the chest at pointblank range is kind of annoying to but I have a feeling its the Games Or the CoD:Black Ops Server Response time being shit. The game isn’t that great over all. But thats just my opinion. All In all tho Its at least a 7/10. GameFly rated it a 7.8/10 It didn’t evan get in the top 10 best rating games. Its video got #1 for best video. lol

I personally think BO is broken, the hit detection is off, pistols are useless, the graphics suck, the animations are jittery, killstreaks are ruined, the story is rediculous (like always) and the “customization” is a joke. If I wanted to slap a skull sticker on and carve my initials into my tiger print service rifle im pretty sure I’d put the barrel in my mouth and pull the trigger, and If I didn’t my Gunny sure as hell would. I don’t know about yall but I’m goin back to MW2.

Black Ops is pretty good. I like the wager matches, the game types, guns are good far (didn’t get to far in to them yet). Not a fan of the kill-streaks and the quick spawning behind you every time. I’m sure it’s to prevent spawn killing and screwing you over but its a little excessive. Those are just minor things. The one main thing I highly dislike is what the maps look like. Yes, they are detailed quite well but it looks like someone painted it. Not a big fan of that.

PS3? No, I don’t believe that. Last night, on the 360 playing Black Ops, there was over 1.6 million people online. I mean, I could be wrong when thinking PS3 is overtaking the Xbox but in my eyes, there’s only one good thing about that console – Free online game play.

The problem is pundits don’t give gamers enough credit. Gamers are often the most informed about games (it’s their parents who are the least informed). We know it’s not by Infinity Ward, and some people are fans of the IW entries in the CoD series. I know that I for one, never played a Treyarch entry. That doesn’t mean they suck… it just means gamers are clued in… and when games cost $60… you have to make decisions like “I’ll skip this and wait for blah blah blah…” I find myself buying less and less games and waiting for the ones I can really concentrate on for months.

In an age where EA and Activision want yearly upgrades… I now gravitate to the biggest titles where years are spent polishing and perfecting… and then just play those for as long as possible.

MW2 was a complete fail! There was a lot of hype about it but it was shocking. Just a repeat of MW1 with a few more perks etc. Having played Black Ops now, this is the game I was expecting when I bought MW2! They’ve cleverly taken the good things from MW1, MW2 and WaW and also improved all the things that were bad! Multiplayer online is brilliant, we should of had that on MW1 for fucks sake! They’ve put in new zombies and completely reinvented close combat game play with wager matches… i’m hooked and so are the other 470,000 online right now…
Fuck MoH, they tried to be like MW but just didn’t get there. It’s so similar yet so different at the same time! As far as Halo goes… it looks like the ps3 has overtaken the xbox in market share

Well said. I’m enjoying BOps, and will keep playing it: new maps, new challenges, new players. But it doesn’t have that same “wow!” factor as MW2. Visuals a bit rough; gameplay slower, and jittery (shots and melée missing all over the place – not just me, but my opponents too). Hmmm… Will stick with it – sure to get some fun from it – but I reckon lots of people will go back to or keep playing MW2 in tandem.

I agree with what some people said about BlackOps not doing as well as MW2. I’ve been testing the game since Saturday and to be honest, it doesn’t have the same “pop” as MW2 did. BlackOps is a great game no doubt, it’s fun and fast paced. However, if you noticed, Infinity Ward is a trend setter. They always set the standard. MW1 came out and it set the bar. WaW came out and made slight modifications to the MW1 core with a different storyline and time setting. MW2 came out and it was NOTHING like WaW. It set the bar and became the most sold ENTERTAINMENT of all time (that includes movies, books, music). Now BOps is out and it is pretty mucha MODIFIED version of MW2. Killstreaks changed around or removed, a few kinks that existed with MW2 taken out such as annoying “One Man Army” perk, etc.
The point is, I’m kind of board of BOps already. The single player campaign is fantastic, but the MW2 campaign was definitely better. The in game dynamics aren’t as fluid as we’re used to in MW2. MW3 will definitely will be one for the ages. Hopefully it’ll pan out with all the crap settling down around Infinity Ward and Activision…actually Infinity Ward is disbanded..wonder who’s making MW3 then ?!

I’ve been playing the game on my PS3 since Friday (November 5th, stangely 4 days before the release, even though I live in Turkey), and all I can say is that it has a very good storyline… Even though the graphics are not so good compared to MoH, there are many enthusiastic people struglling to play it online. A majority of people even changed their PS3 language settings to french just to play online, since the only active server was the French servers…(until yesterday)…
But still I believe that there is only a small chance that it will sell more than MW2.

Modern warfare 2 was more than good, it was incredible. I mean you can play that game over and over and over…..AND OVER AGAIN!!! It’s good that black ops will be a little different, and modern warfare 3 is coming next year. Can’t wait to get my copy from gamestop tonight!!!

I think it will outsell MW2 because the gamemodes and stuff i personally didnt start playin call of duty until world at war and that is what made me fall in love with CoD so they know what they are doing. The currency deal is much better to the customization factor will make this game so much better that is hat we want to be unique and this game provides that i cant wait i preordered it at gamestop and im playin all night long because it will be badass!

I am going to have to skip this and wait for Battlefield 3. MW2 was awesome until people figured out how to hack it on the Xbox 360 and the developers nor Microsoft did anything about banning any of those users. Gameplay videos that are out look great but it will probably the same thing after a couple months with hackers and cheaters running rampant and stats/rank boosting and nothing is going to be done about it.

Yeah Black Ops hasn’t had a lot of publishing for it but if you’ve watched any of the review on it their all pretty much good. I play CoD MW2 and it was ok but the thing about Black Ops that interests me the most is the new weapons and game modes they’ve put in. I don’t know if Black Ops will out sell MW2 but it will sell very well anyway.

I wanted to just say that no matter what these so called professional critics say : MW2 was the friggin BOMB—- POW!!!!!,,I LOVED it. So one could only imagine Black Ops will be that much better. I mean com’on we all know how it works. Take sports for example (entertainment ,same as gaming). Some of the biggest athletes have sneaker deals like Kobe, LeBron, Garnett. Every year they have a new style of shoe and ALL the high schoolers and ballers alike just have to have the new sneaks.As long as the companies are doing the best they can as far advertizing the product IT WILL SELL. When i go to GameStop I see soooo many MW2 copies for sale (pre-owned) its crazy. Reason being is everyone has beaten MW2 and is now ready to take on Black Ops.Am i wrong ??

Just check the forums for MoH, that game failed, too many bugs and still no patch… Everyone is trading it in or selling it to get CoD. I think it’s going to do at least as good as MW2, but it will actually probably do better. I think that MoH sucks sooo bad that it’s actually going to boost Black Ops’ sales…

I don’t know what would make him think it would sell 20% less. A lot of people were disappointed with the new Medal of Honor. I mean go look on Craigslist, all you see is a bunch of Medal of Honor up for sale. So, I don’t think the release of Medal of Honor last month is going to hurt the sales of Black Ops. The only way Black Ops doesn’t sell as much is if it disappoints. But even if that’s the case, just by the name of “Call of Duty” it’s going to sell itself, and if it’s even a little bit close to the hype it’s getting, it’ll even sell more. Obviously when Modern Warfare 3 releases next year it’ll most likely take the reigns again.

I honestly think the only reason he is saying this is to get attention, because everywhere else you look, people are saying it’s on pace to sell more.
