Why is it Samsung’s problem? Samsung aren’t the only ones being sued by Apple. The problem is a systematic failure with the USPTO for granting the patents in the first place. The USPTO’s counterparts outside the US have mostly laughed Apple out of court.
It’s like having a fast food establishment sell poisoned food and then blaming the customer for eating it rather than the FDA or whatever local government organisation that exists to police food hygiene standards.

I think the headline is very misleading – it falsely insinuates that Samsung is interested in buying HTC. It sounds like the writer is extremely lazy or a Apple fanbois.
