Buy.com has iPhone 3G unlocked selling for $799. If you don’t want to jailbreak an iPhone 3G but still wanting to use it with other carrier, this is the safest way to do it. The unlock unit carries Apple’s warranty and of course safe to be upgraded with new firmware releases from Apple. I’m pretty sure AT&T is not very happy with these legally unlocked iPhone 3G selling in the US.
