With the average voltage of an alkaline AA battery being ~1V. That gives 0.1A current (P=VI). Which is pretty low.

So forget digital cameras, torches (flash-lights), media players, pretty much anything with a LCD backlit screen or a motor, etc.

In fact can anyone think of a modern device that uses 0.1W or less?

I can only think of clocks or low quality microphones.
