The wife and I stopped by the outlet yesterday to listen/see this product. Expensive? Yep- but if you're starting from scratch, with no other audio or video gear, WELL worth it. The only reason we didn't buy it on the spot is the size of the TV. When Bose produces a 55" (plus) model, we'll most likely buy one. Let me qualify this by explaining our quest for decent picture and sound. We own a 55" Sammy- looks great...plug it in, set it up once and voila: all done. Sound.....after buying THOUSANDS of dollars of supposedly superior Yamaha (top o the line receiver), Onkyo (flagship receiver) and a room FULL of Polk, Yamaha, Bang, Axiom, and now HUGE magnapan speakers I have concluded that if you want a system which you can NEVER tweak to the satisfaction your investment deserves, follow the advice of the "experts" who proclaim Bose to be inferior, not number crunching worthy, cheaply made junk. I suggest you try listening yourself........and ask yourself if you want clear, rich sound, great picture and an END to the never ending quest to make huge systems (and wire running, speaker repositioning, CONSTANTLY digging through menu's and sub-menu's, running "auto calibrations, "pro" installers, and never ending "upgrades") sound decent. I'm done with "expert number crunchers. I WILL buy Bose products from now on. Your opinion will most likely vary, until you fight the fight yourself.
