Bose SoundLink expands with new speaker and headphones

Bose has expanded its SoundLink lineup with two new products, the SoundLink Color Bluetooth Speaker and the SoundLink On-Ear Bluetooth Headphones. With these products comes two different ways to enjoy your music, one of which involves a rainbow of colors.

First up is the new wireless speaker, which is being offered in red, blue, mint, white, and black at dimensions of 5 x 2.1 x 5.3-inches. This makes the speaker small enough to carry around, but large enough to produce strong audio, which Bose promises is "full-range" and strong on the low end.

The speaker will remember the last eight Bluetooth devices to which it was connected, with the very last two on the list being automatically connected to if available. There's also a 3.5mm standard audio jack for using devices without Bluetooth. The speakers are up for pre-order at $129.95 USD, with shipping starting on September 25.

The SoundLink headphones, meanwhile, feature the maker's Active Equalization and TriPort technologies, with Bose promising they offer full audio on the low end and natural frequencies in the mid-range. There's a dual-microphone construction to help deal with things like wind noise, as well as auto-volume adjustments.

The headphones can be connected to two wireless devices at once. There are voice prompts, physical controls on the ear cup, a weight of 5.5 ounces, and up to 15 hours of listening on a charge. The headphones are available now for $249.95 USD.
