I too, have lost a couple of my silicone tips. I am very careful with my headphones, as they were almost $100.00, but the tips just don't stay on very well. I currently use a S and a M tip together. I called Bose and they are sending me, free of charge, a new complete set of S,M & L tips. My biggest complant is the silicone tips, but if they will replace them for free, I guess it is not such a big deal. For $99.99, they should replace them at no charge.

I have to disagree with Rei on what he said about loosing the silicone tips. Only someone who is irresponsible and carless would do such a thing as that. Woldn't one think that after you spend $100 dollars on a pair of silicone tips, you would have a little more RESPONSIBILITY?

Freaking BAD BOSE product - you wil lose your removable silicone tips
in first week, then you will replace it with another size and lose again. And there is no way you can buy new removable silicone tips
- only new set of everything for another $100

I absolutely agree with Todd about the initial review. If you are just going to report on product info without first hand experience, please do not include misleading opinions as to the quality and functionality of the product. Your review is crap.

"It’s hard to say how good these headphones are compared to Shure and Ultimate Ears."

"How comfortable are these soft silicone earbuds? It’s hard to say."

"Will I make the switch from my Etymotic ER 4 microPro earphones for the Bose In-Ear headphones? Most likely not, thanks but no thanks."

How can you assess a product you've never used?

Was your post completely worthless? It's hard to say...oh wait, it actually was.

Thanks for the review Stephen, that's the kind of INFORMATIVE information I was looking for.

First let me say that I was skeptical of an under one hundred-dollar set of Bose speakers.

Second, I was near a Bose store and sauntered in to just look around. I saw the display and I pressed the button to listen and of course the sound comes booming out of some other set of their fine speakers.

I asked the salesperson if the had them in stock and he said yes and I requested a "test" hearing. He stated that I could buy a pair and return them if I did not like them.

So I laid the plastic on him and walked out of the store still thinking to myself what are these going to sound like.

When I got back to my car, I pulled the iPod out of it's concealed dock and slapped the headphones on and scrolled my way to some Miles Davis..........Wait this can't be right these sound good!

So I switch the tunes to some Dave Matthews Band.... better, much better.

Then I decide let's really put the test on these very comfortable ears buds and turned on some Aaron Copeland.

Fanfare for the Common Man never sounded better! Appalachian Spring was just as pure as it could be...Then I said one more test.

(I must have looked strange to all the people passing me as I sat in my car in the mall garage listening to my pod.)

Vivaldi, Four Seasons..................and I was hooked.

I now have a small set of well-made and great sounding headphones that are just the right size for travel or taking the dog for a walk!

BTW, they also include three sets of tips and while I used the medium that were on the Triport IE's at first, I switched them to the large and I get an even cleaner sound without much outside interference.

One more thing, in the package is a nice, very nice leather case for keeping the Triport's in great shape and ready for travel.

My recommendation, buy them try them. I like mine and I am keeping them!
