IMO any electronic device which can suffer interference due to a *cellphone* should be promptly removed from an airplane.

why not put a shield between the passenger cabin and the cockpit to block the signals????

As a pilot who has experienced interference in the cockpit due to cellphones I can only hope the flying public who seems to think the whole “turn off electronic devices” deal is a hoax will realize it is far from it. IMO anyone that leaves their electronics on should be promptly removed from the flight.
