Blackmagic Design brings Intensity Pro 4K PCIe card for Ultra HD

While 4K is the new wave – for the time being – not all computers have the processing power to play it. Videos captured and processed at 4K resolution, also known as Ultra HD, are going to waste worldwide. Manufacturers like Blackmagic Design are aiming to remedy this situation by creating devices like the Intensity Pro 4K PCIe card. This card allows capture and playback of "extremely high quality" SD, HD, and Ultra HD video on systems like Windows, Mac, and Linux PCI Express computers.

This new unit brings everything the previous Intensity Pro model had and adds features for today's users. Inside you'll have higher frame rate 1080p 60fps capture and playback as well as high resolution Ultra HD capture and playback up to 2160p at 30fps via HDMI.

This new unit also adds deep color support in HDMI.

Intensity Pro 4K is made for video editors – specifically editors who require realtime previews of massive videos on massive displays. This includes everyone from filmmakers to gamers aiming to create high frame rate videos to share with the web.

Each Intensity Pro 4K unit includes software (whether or not you need it) to edit video – DaVinci Resolve Lite for Mac and Windows. This capture card is available this week for $199 from Blackmagic Design resellers around the world.
