With RIM’s BlackBerry PlayBook not expected until the first quarter of 2011, we’ll take any vicarious access to the 7-inch slate we can get. BGR managed to find someone willing to run through a 10 minute demo of the dual-core tablet, and while it’s still pre-production the whole thing looks surprisingly stable.

QNX looks particularly alluring, and leagues ahead of BlackBerry OS 6 on the company’s smartphones. Unfortunately we may have to wait some time before we see the platform migrate over to a next-gen Bold or Pearl; according to co-CEO Mike Lazaridis, that’s not on the cards until dual-core processors are commonplace.
