However, my gripe is not about the rumoured dates.  It is with RIM and the disdain it shows to its customers.

It should be RIM who gives us the dates and tells us what to expect in the new release. 

Again, Skype (just one example) is a killer app on a tablet (or phone) and RIM should be telling us whether or not it will be appearing under OS 2 – more importantly because many of us bought the PB on the promise of OS 2 and the Android emulator, which was originally meant to be released last summer.

1)  precisely when OS 2 will become available (as far as know 17 Feb is just another rumour)
2)  exactly what will be included
3)  whether killer apps such as Skype will work with the Android layer – these are the questions users want definitive answers to.

Doesn’t RIM owe its loyal users a Company statement putting all of the rumours to rest?
