I own the original iPad, my wife and son have the iPad2, and I also have the Playbook. First off, the iPad is on its 3rd iteration. One can view this as flawed as improvements were clearly made by Apple. While BlackBerry is still on its original product. I actually use my Playbook more than my Ipad. I’ve used my wife’s iPad2 and don’t see that it’s any better than the ipad. I believe Apple does well with marketing their products; as such have a huge following. In my opinion, Apple has many people fooled in believing a superior product. I will say that the ipad blows away the competition in available Apps; however the Playbook is far superior in screen resolution, sound quality, user productivity enabling bridging capability with a BlackBerry phone and without using cloud.

I hardly agree that the Playbook is flawed since it is still in its first iteration. Apple is somewhat more flawed. If one disagrees, then I guess their the stupid consumer that buys the ipad, then iPad2, and the iPad3… The stupidity continues when the iPad4 is released and you like the rest of them line up and buy it. If I were you, I would just admit the ipad is flawed rather than admit you are just another consumer fooled by the marketing machine of Apple.

“Receiver” is what Citrix now calls their client software. Citrix server products allows business to publish Windows applications or complete Windows desktops, as in the video above. They have Receiver versions for most operating systems.

“Flawed” Playbook in what way? You can visit the numerous flash websites, but still not on Ipad 2/3/4. You can connect to the internet ANYWHERE via your BB phone without having to pay extra for 3/4G or trying to find a hotspot. Best screen resolution of any tablet , especially Ipad 1/2 (pay $600 for something equal for ipad3). Mini HDMI to act as a mini blu-ray (1080p capable), don’t need Apple TV, an Apple adaptor or whatever other non-sense. 3/5 MP cameras.

Besides not having 1,000 useless fart apps, “flawed” in what way? All I can think of is not having Skype, which I don’t need.

This is so dumb….. Trying to turn a mobile OS into a laptop/netbook. You can get a netbook by itself for almost the price of this stupid keyboard, let alone having to buy the poorly supported PlayBook as well.

On top of that the keyboard on a 7″ device is unbelievably too small for anyone older than 13.

Can you run MS Windows and MS Office on the iPAd like he did here in this demo? I got tired of lugging that iPAd2 boulder around so I got rid of it to switch to the PlayBook. Now I can just slide my tablet in my coat pocket. No iPad can beat that so iPass the iPad :)))

Could someone tell my what “receiver” he mentiened in this demo? I keep playing this video over and over and still can’t understand what’s that “receiver” that he mentioned. And what is that virtual desktop that he used for running MS Windows. Very impressive and I’d like to be able to do that on my PlayBook. Any help will be greatly appriciated.

Nothing like typing on a teenee keyboard. Nice to see RIM not giving up on the very flawed playbook, but sadly these improvements keep coming across as band-aids on something that needs surgery.
