i hear stories that the playbook can play the facebook apps (cafe world, farmville frontierville,) i saw the demo video of the guy on facebooks website and chatting to someone then he loads a facebook game (not an app) a game similiar to bejeweled. something that doesnt take time to load like frontierville. does anyone know where i can find out if the apps can be played. one of my main reasons of holding out and waiting for this is the facebook apps . i would love to see a video of someone playing cafe world or frontierville.. lol.. we had gotten the samsung galaxy tablet afer being told oh yes you can play those i play them all the time.. NOT>>> they would start to load and then stopped.. we even upgraded the adobe in it to 10.1. and seeing as how the playbook has 10.1 i dont forsee them being able to play them either which will be a bummer. i would like to be able to tend to my frontierville or my stoves while at work on my 1 hour lunch break.

It's all about the OS. RIM bought QNX and they built the blackberry tablet OS. ipad cannot do true multitasking like this! also, qnx software is so powerful that when quad core processors and such make there way onto tablets in the future qnx can handle it. i don't think other os will be able to work as well.

Rim and HP/Palm (WebOS) ought to really think about a design similar to the Motorola's Atrix. Give the user a device with peripherals that will move them away form other operating systems to yours 100% of the time. . . otherwise it's just too easy and inviting for a user to leave your environment for another.
