If i was RIM i would be pitting apple and Google against each oteher who wants the sole rights to use bbm start bidding who ever gets the rights gets RIM customers when bbm finally bites the bullet and rim make profits of the loyalties win win all round

it probably is an Android Development phone But the Bosses at RIM might be paranoid and not want the public to see their employees walking around with a competitors handset when out doing field tests and such.

Or it’s to minimise any “Product Bias” if the testers see a big “SAMSUNG” or “HTC” slapped on a RIM BBM test phone.

For now i thinking is only prototype unknown model, for Nexus S it not dev terminal? Nexus one it is.

My bigger question is what is SITSLIP?

If is device use QNX then use Linux Kernel + droid + framework = QNX or just Android 2.2 + BBM APP

Would it not be more likely Stephen, that its a google Dev phone of some type? rather it being a phone that RIM have created?

Why would RIM need to whip up a prototype device just to test an Android app? Why not just use a Nexus S?

Maybe the real story here is the device, not the app. This could be a device intended for QNX, but the software isn’t ready yet so they’re using Android to test certain hardware features in the meantime.
