If, and I do mean if, BB is copying the iPhone then it is with permission. RIM was pushing eMail to BB users when apple was still trying to figure out the newton… You remember the newton right? No!?! Oh right it was pulled from the market because Mac thought that no one would want a hand held computer! Instead 10 years later the release the iPod and iPhone to catchup.

Another company that obviously doesn’t drug test it’s employees. If their new smartphone is anything like their tablet I’m sure they will be flying off the shelves once they have dropped their prices 50% and still be gathering dust as they offer buy 1 get 6 free promotions.

Stupid campaign – it just brings attention to RIM that they’re still way behind. Next time you release something, have a device that you can sell today. The way you bring something to the market has changed – no more teasers or developer releases. The public is so much more demanding of something in their hands right now. If you want market share, you have to take a punt and start shipping immediately to the public – let the developers catch up.

Blackberry are a phone for those stuck in the last century – the campaign should have been directed to their own crackberry addicts. And I know this because my company makes me use them, much to my chagrin…

I hope this doesnt become a trend, Samsung started this whole attacking iOS users through advertising now RIM is also attacking iOS users through advertising with their WAKE UP campaign. Whats next?

It is a bit too much and if you want to take over iOS start by no copying iOS and Apple overall. Become more original and develop alternatives not photo copies then use your ad budget to focus on explaining the general public(not just iOS users) why Blackberry 10 is so amazing. Whining wont get you anywhere, its just pathetic.
