It is good that Bb holds onto its strengths. The Keyboard is whatset them apart. They threw amazing battery life out the door with the BB Bold so that it can actually surf the web with 1/10 th the speed of Safari. Maybe they can reclaim its vaunted strengths while catching up to Android and iOS in terms of features and functionality. I have my doubts about a first gen Handset OS from ANY developer, let alone RIM, whose R&D resources are limited and its earlier offering with the Playbook was definitely subpar.

I am hopeful that RIM can produce something that can differentiate itself from e others while, at the very least, catching up to the others in terms of capability and functionality. Work has forced me to carry a Bold, which is serviceable for email, but incompetent for almost everything else.

and it predicts language change in mid-sentence. I think RIM is ion a very good position here, because they are the only completely new OS. Apple and Google are looking stale by comparison. In September I told people I was buy RIM stock when it was $6. I didn't. Now I'm kicking myself.
