BioShock released today on iOS for iPad and iPhone

This week the folks behind the original BioShock have brought the game to iOS. This game is an important step in the AAA gaming universe's transition to mobile, releasing this game that only a few years ago belonged on high-end PCs, now coming to smartphones and tablets.

This game will be released with two gameplay modes: one with touch, the other with physical controls. You'll be able to work with Made for iPhone game controllers or with Bluetooth controllers – all will work to great effect.

Inside this release of BioShock comes an in-app digital artbook reminiscent of the original BioShock Special Edition. You'll also find a new leaderboard system as well as a unique player profile function. This function allows you to work with in-game stats, stacking yours up against your friends, with weapons, plasmids, and more included.

Welcome back to one of the highest-rated first-person shooters of all times. Only a short time ago, it seemed impossible for this game to hit any platform under a console.

Welcome back to the submerged Art Deco city of Rapture. Modify your way through the masses, making with the classic gameplay as you do so. This game is available for $14.99 from the iTunes app store as of today from 2K.
