I downloaded the update on my PS3 2nd version the one with 160 GB made in 2011, and my Skyrim works fine no water glitch and zero lag. but for some reason the fast travel is about 50% slower. Any help? the comments about re-downloading the game didn’t work.

I never had the water problem but the lag is annoying. I find if I save create new data it is not as bad as overwriting. note I said not as bad it is not the fix. I do however have 7 louis letrush ‘s running around at the whiterun stables. He won;t die no matter what I do to him. He also pops up on a mission every now and then. I also have dead people coming back to life. Any thought’s.

Companies like Bathesda should not release games with full of bugs with the excuse that they will eventually patch it up with a bug fix, this for the simple reason that some people do not have Xbox live and/or do not intend on getting Xbox live. It is purely unethical to release a half assed product prematurely just because it is crunch time, people spend in most cases their hard earned money on these games and they are not exactly cheap to buy. Let this be a warning to those who plan on purchasing any future releases from this company.

Im kind of a noob to skyrim. Lvl 45. My ps3 slim keeps crashing during the battle for whiterun. I have only one save. No corrupt data. N it still crashes wtf. Screw the update. Will try the “reload” fix

I have a problem that I hope Bethesda will fix that when I try make a random enchanted weapon at the atronach forge all it spawns is warhammers. I spent ages trying to get a daedric sword and i’m not gonna bother getting one via smithing.

Well, I posted my last blog less than an hour ago and I am pleased to announce that I have corrected the “freeze” issue related to the latest Skyrim update patch version 1.05. The previous posts on this issue are correct. The “fix” is easy: On the PS3 Main Screen find the “Game” menu, then scroll up to ”Game Data Utility”, then delete the “UPDATE” data (other posts suggested to delete the installed “game” data and reinstall as well, but I elected against.) After you have completed this step, then re-download the update when you select “Skyrim” to begin play and Presto! Good Gaming everyone and thank you for the help!

I have Skyrim as well for the PS3. The game is incredible. However, I am new to game lingo but this “patch” has prevented my level 69 original character from entering any water environment. The game simply “freezes” and play ends. Is there any new “patch” or update that can be expected to fix this problem? What can be done on my end to solve this? Further, I have read that only level 81 is attainable. Is this true? Why would every skill level be allowed to to reach 100, but your character level peaks at 81?! This roadblock seems foolish, but not as frustrating as screen freeze via water. Please email tomsloop@yahoo.com for support. Thank you.

I’m lvl 60. Haven’t played in awhile. Downloaded the update. Within 1 hour I got stuck on some rocks twice, watched a mammoth float in the sky and finally jumped in some water and crashed the ps3. I’m done til the next patch. Good grief…

You’re so right that update makes everything freeze when you go in the water!!! It’s so frustrating ….. I feel like bashing the tv and ps3 whit a baseball bat! So the cure delete the stupid update ….. Hopefully bethesda will fix this and come out whit a 1.6 or 2.0 update for ps3.

My ps3 is the 120g and about a year old. I have 11g space left on the hard drive. Ive had minor issues with fallout new vegas, but i fixed it by deleting most of my save points and not piling up too many mission without completing them. Skyrim has been fine on my slim, it sucks that its been giving so many others problems, Its a great game to play. Anyway give the suggestions a try, it worked for us. Good luck guys

I have the PS3 slim and never had one freeze or crash playing Skyrim. My friend has the 1st gen ps3( the one the siz of the state of Texas) and he only had issues with multiple missions back logged and more than 10 save points.

The game is completely broken and unplayable .
Skyrim for the PS3 is a piece of CRAP ! The latest patch has introduced more bugs , now the game freezes anytime your character goes in water which is required for completeling many of the quest lines as well as the main quest lines as welll as obtaining materials for crafting.
Other game bugs locks up during any auto save. The graphics are fracturing any many dungeons. Ive done eveything you can to do to optimize my ps3 console and none of it helps , the game is just garbage.

My advice is take the game back and demand a full refund , and BOYCOTall Bethesda games for the next 2 years.

This game would be over the top if it had online play (PVP) i do believe is the correct name?? and allow Guilds!! each guild get its own city, so member can stay close together if needed. Sound so good.. imagine the wars between “Guilds” (A team of players)(Large or small) in other words a army! With Skyrims graphics..It would be GNARLY, probably real Hard.. to work all that in. I don’t ask much of you, God. but please let that be a update in the near future! lol

Try erasing the game utility data and the patch. Reinstall everything and that should fix the water glitch, it did for me anyways!!

This isn’t fixed!
Instead of stupid tweaks to gameplay, how about they actually fix the game to play as a new game is intended….without Quest glitches….
Im on PS3 and cannot complete the game as Alduins Wall quest is bugged. I discovered Sky Haven ages ago and now my characters are stuck at the first puzzle and will not allow the quest to proceed.
We’re not your Beta testers Bethesda. Sort stuff like this out!

For those that are having the “freezing water” issues, delete the game data for Skyrim Update and reinstall 1.5. This should fix your issue.

I have always felt like one of the lucky ones with this game because I have been playing since day 1 with only minor lag issues. However, since this new update, I now have something to be very frustrated about: no longer can swim without totally freezing. Makes the game unplayable. Mine works great. My water has changed from very murky to very realistic, but does not freeze!
