Sounds like someone is a little butthurt. Let me guess, you dropped your iTurd you bought from BBY 3 years ago and broke it and are now mad because BBY wouldn’t let you return it 3 years later. And now you’ve realized all you can do is go online and rage about how bad Best Buy is because you are an idiot. Fact is, Best Buy is thriving just as it always has and it is most definitely not done. Millions of people are still loyal customers to Best Buy, and no amount of your butthurt is going to change that.

Best Buy wouldnt care about misleading if they were competitive, which they are not. They should have to price match anything, they should just offer a lower price to begin with.

Best Buy is just useless. They just can’t compete with online giants like Amazon, and other retailers like Walmart. Let’s face it, Best Buy is done, They make you jump through hoops to get a price match and they act like they are doing you a favor. Best buy is in denial, their prices are not competitive, their sales geeks are pushy and unpleasant, why would anyone shop there? People just use it as a showroom and then go to Amazon to buy the same things for half the price.

I came to a bestbuy store, iphone 5 was sold out. I then ordered it on line, and choose the location I want to pick up. My order was confirmed but then I receive an email saying that it was out of stock in the location I choose. I called them and they kept me waiting for a long time and the solution is keep waiting for another email and maybe the item will be available before my order is canceled in 4 days. I am very disappointed with bestbuy. How could they complain about somebody else?

Is that illegal? Price fixing and collusion is illegal. Bluffing with virtual stock is not. BBY should just compete and shaddup. They sell obsolescence insurance to make up for the shortfall.

I’m not clear how this caused any lost profits.. if you call the local Walmart and they’re out of stock, you honor your price and not theirs.. meaning your profits are based only on your own price, meaning customers paid exactly what you asked them to.

What’s Best Buy crying about, I couldn’t land two iphone 5′s for the $127.00 at WM which was always out of stock. So I went to BB and got the two for 149.00 each with a new service contract with Verizon. So my money went to BB.

I want to thank Walmart for under cutting the ridiculous over prices smart phone prices . I was able to buy it at best buy for sane price , I wound up sweet talking the sales assistant , got her number , tool her on a date with those extra savings. Took her to the SMUSH ROOM and now I’m getting 20% extra discounts for accessories ..I’m a Don for real .

This is incorrect information. According to Bestbuy’s Price Match Policy, if the item is not in stock, Bestbuy is not obligated to do the price match. So along with the previous posts, looking into the matter more may make your threads more believable and more entertaining.

I work for Best Buy Mobile Customer Service and on these days we were getting a very large amount of calls from customers wanting to price match Walmart on the iPhone 5. Though, in order to do price matches, we have to contact the customers local Walmart within 25 miles of their home and verify that it is in stock, and every single Walmart I called did not have it in stock. They were all sold out. Walmart failed hard and are straight up lying saying they had 98% availability.
