BenQ announced two brand new displays with LED-backlighting and a focus on the environment. They are a part of the V-series and are called the V2400 Eco and the V2200 Eco, which measure in at 24- and 21.5-inches, respectively.

Both are widescreen and have a 1080p resolution along with a super impressive 5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio thanks to absolutely no light leakage. Both also support reduced power usage of up to 30% with contrast, power and brightness adjustments along with a lack of mercury used in the panels.

Likewise, the packaging is earth-friendly, consisting of recycled paper, an online user’s manual and soy ink-based printing on the box. You can get both displays soon in China, but pricing and an U.S. release date have not yet been revealed.
