Ben Heck creates a smaller portable Sega CDX system

Ben Heck has created another interesting and sufficiently geeky gadget on his show recently. The new creation is an old school portable gaming console made from an old Sega CDX system. I don't even recall the Sega CDX system being on the market.

Heck Said, "It was a blast taking something as awesome as the Sega CDX and making it even easier to use with a smaller footprint so I can bring it with me everywhere," said Ben Heck. "Not only that, but I reminisced about Full Motion Video games from the early '90's and a few diamonds in the rough like 'Snatcher' and 'Lunar: The Silver Star.'"

I may not recall the CDX system myself, but I can appreciate the cool design that Heck came up with. The episode of the show where he created the device walked through the construction and layout process. If you really like the device, you can hit the Element 14 website and register to win the device yourself.
