I would not recommend that ANYONE use a remote to turn on an UNATTENDED electric space heater.

Clearly, you’re not the target for this product. ANd why so skeptical? It was a 1minute 20 seconds long presentation. If you lose your iPad, or iPhone, i’m sure there are ways to deactivate it. That’s like saying “I lost my credit/debit card, now all the money in my account will vanish.” Pfft!

So when someone steals my iPad, they can then steal everything in my house? Sounds like a great plan… Also, why would I pay $50 for a little outlet that just lets me turn on a light? How about we put an IR blaster in all the tablets, and replace all of those remote controlled ceiling fans/lights and then no wifi is needed?
