Belkin unveils Home Base for print, sharing, and backups

Belkin has announced a new storage and sharing product called the Home Base that connects to an existing wired or wireless network. Once connected to the network users can plug external hard drives into one of the four USB ports on the rear of the device to share across the network.

The Home Base device will automatically back each computer on the network up to one of the connected external hard drives. The device can also automatically upload new photos to a Flickr or Picasa account. Game consoles like the PS3 or Xbox can also be accessed wirelessly using the Home Base as well.

The device will retail for $129.99 and is compatible with 802.11b/g/n wireless network. It features push-button WPS security service for preventing unauthorized access to your content. The USB ports also support shared printers.
