Beat Thang lets DJs and producers make beats anywhere

I'm a bit of an ADD type so I don't listen to music when I am working or I get distracted. I know some people who are the opposite and can only work if they have music. If music is your work a cool new hardware device called the Beat Thang has debuted that lets you mix beats and tracks anywhere.

The device is a mobile music production system that has a rugged metal chassis and 6-hours of playtime per charge. You can use the hardware device to sample, remix, and perform anywhere at any time. The device has two headphone jacks letting two people listen.

The device sports 256MB of RAM, dual SD card slots that can read up to 32GB SDHC cards, and it features a USB in and out port. Pitch and modulation wheels are built-in and the device has a 3.5-inch color LCD screen and an illuminated control panel. The device is designed to integrate with beat Thang virtual software. The Beat Thang will launch in early 2010 and sell for $999.
