Battery Engineer recharges plain batteries

I have all manner of gadgets and two kids in my house with all manner of toys. We consume lots of batteries. I have a number of rechargables around but we still use a lot of plain batteries as well.

Using many normal batteries gets expensive and the green types don't want to throw batteries into the landfill. A new device is set to debut next month in the US called the ReZap Battery Engineer. The device claims to let the user recharge plain batteries up to ten times.

The charger supports charging of up to four batteries of different sizes at one time. Supported battery sizes include AAAA, AAA, AA, C, D, 9 Volt, and lantern batteries. The device will sell at the PC Treasures website for $59.95 starting in May.
