Nomura’s Partner Ballroom Dance Robot (PBDR) has lit up the dance floor at Wired’s NextFest in NYC. No embarrassing moments of stepping on your partner’s toes as you practice your waltz. These $300,000 battery-powered dance partners can anticipate and match your dance steps through force and torque sensors. Not too mention, they don’t have feet for you to step on. Pretty cool, but what’s with the Snow White outfit and the Mickey Mouse ears?
