averatec all in one 18 4Averatec certainly is in the news today. We reported just awhile ago that the company had made their Buddy netbook available today and now the Averatec 18.4-inch All-in-One Desktop PC has launched in the US and guess what? It’s Atom-based.

The desktop PC was first announced in the Europe last month, but now it’s getting its US debut. It features specs that are netbook-comparable. For instance, it features a 160GB hard drive, 1GB RAM and a 1.6GHz N270 Atom processor. Windows XP is also included.

The display is an ample 18.4-inches and sports a 1680 x 945 resolution, but that is probably the only non-netbook quality of the whole device. The price tag is pretty good at $550. We expect this all-in-one is intended to go right alongside Averatec’s similar computer, the larger 22-inch All-in-One PC.
