There is need to work on better battery technology and coming together for faster EV charging system is great idea to implement it in a faster way.

Temperature is also a major issue as most current battery technologies won’t even accept a charge if it’s below freezing or above ~115 degrees Fahrenheit (which can easily happen in the summer when your car sits in a blacktop parking lot in the sun during the day).

Limited range is much less of an issue if you can recharge in 20 minutes… drive 60 – 100 miles then rest for 20 min while your car recharges… it might even reduce fatigue induced MVA’s

Exactly! But maybe they’re working on that too. Battery technology seems like the kind of thing that the auto companies would work on individually though, as lower cost, and longer range would provide them with competitive advantages. Maybe that’s why this part is receiving more coverage; because it’s a collaboration.

although its a start they need to be concentrating on battery technology. Range and cost are EV’s two biggest issues.
