LaCie is rolling out a new external hard drive called the LaCinema Classic, offering media lovers a simple way to consume their movies, music and photos – through their TV.  All the user has to do is hook the device up to their computer via USB, copy files onto the Classic and then hook it up to their TV via composite or HDMI.

The Eye-Fi folks are at it again, this time announcing a new technology they plan to integrate into their Wi-Fi enabled memory cards.  You were able to wirelessly upload photos before, and soon, you’ll be able to upload video.

Here’s a pretty cool device that has all sorts of mischievous potential.  The WowWee Spyball is a remote controlled webcam hidden inside a futuristic-looking plastic ball.  Note to WowWee: the ball’s appearance might be kind of a giveaway.

It appears that EMTEC’s new Gdium netbook is ready for prime-time, or in this case, ready for display at CES.  We went hands-on with a non-functioning prototype of the Gdium last August at IFA 2008 and now have pictures and specs for what appears to be the final product.

It seems that Sony adopted a few ideas from other music devices when creating the W-series Walkman.  The “all-in-one” concept likely came from those big, bulky FM radio headsets, and the “no display” idea probably came from the iPod Shuffle.
