Google Issues Android Honeycomb Developer Preview

The Android 3.0 SDK has been revealed for developers and eager wanna-be customers alike. Google has issued their non-final preview of Android 3.0's SDK. Noted "highlights" include support for multicore processors, high-quality 2D and 3D graphics, and a UI framework for building large-screen device applications. There are also new APIs for Bluetooth A2DP and HSP.

Verizon: iPhone Could Boost Revenue 8% in 2011

Things are looking rosy indeed for Verizon Wireless. They've announced their expectation that the iPhone will lead to between 5-8% growth in earnings per share. Analysts predict 11 million sales in 2011. The iPhone boom will spur Verizon to double the percentage of their customers with smartphones. The carrier could be above 50% by the end of the year.

Kodak Posts a $56 Million Loss for 2010, Shares Plummet

This is not a good time to be a Kodak shareholder. They've just posted their full-year 2010 revenue report. They had total sales of $7.187 billion, a 6% drop from 2009. Traditional revenue was down 22%, year over year, to $1.767 billion. Kodak lost a total of $58 million in the last year, $0.22 per share. This is better than 2009, when they lost $174 million, but hardly cause for wild celebration.
