Microsoft SkyDrive accounts now top out at 200GB

Microsoft unveiled the Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2 at an event earlier this morning. Included in that announcement was also details of the docking station and a variety of covers, but it seems there was also a bit of good news for those who were hoping to have a 200GB SkyDrive account. In short, Microsoft announced just that and have begun teasing about how that will be "enough storage for a photo every hour from birth to graduation."

Google, with support coming from the Comparative Constitutions Project have announced Constitute. This newly launched site provides access to digitized copies of the world's constitutions. And as a side effect, also makes these same constitutions browsable and searchable. In fact, it was shown that you will be able to narrow searches down to specific topics and even specific time periods.

We are coming out of the launch weekend for the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c and while Apple has already come forward with sales numbers, it looks like that may have just been the initial launch. BBM for Android and iOS release dates confirmed

While the app is not yet available for download, we can finally put the BBM release date rumors to rest. BlackBerry has confirmed that BBM will available for Android on September 21st and for the iPhone on September 22nd. Specifically, BBM for Android will be available from the Play Store at 7AM EDT and BBM for iPhone will be available from the App Store at 12:01AM local time.

Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban and GMC Yukon redesign detailed for early next year

General Motors appears ready to begin offering a redesigned Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban as well as a GMC Yukon and Yukon XL. It is looking GM will keep these vehicles the same size as we have become familiar with, but include upgraded materials, better handling and even best-in-class fuel efficiency. These new models are expected to arrive in early-2014 and for now pricing has yet to be revealed.

Gearlike legs propel the plant hopping Issus to nearly 400 G’s

For the first time in nature, an insect has been shown to use a set of gears to aid in jumping. Said insect is the Issus coleoptratus and it can be found throughout Europe as well as in parts of the Near East and North Africa. This particular incest is a planthopper found mostly on European climbing ivy and it belongs to the Issidae family. But key for today is the gear-like legs that cause this insect to be a champion jumper.

Google Street View now offering tours of the Galapagos Islands

Google first began talking about taking Street View to the Galapagos Islands back in May. This work was being done in partnership with Charles Darwin Foundation (CDF) and the Galapagos National Parks Directorate (GNPD). At the time Google had said this work was being done in an effort to "continue to study and preserve the islands’ unique biodiversity" and that the images would be available later in the year.
