It’s Girls World too, so why should the boys have all the fun?

This much anticipated direct to consumer site is fast-becoming a necessary online destination where the girls of the world can mix and mingle in a new online girls club hang-out with all the frills and frou frou trappings that stylish women adore and fashionistas demand. http://www.limelife.com

“We recognize the web’s important role in driving women’s awareness of mobile content,” said Kristin McDonnell, CEO, LimeLife Inc. “At Limelife women can discover and purchase mobile content, including a wide selection of fashion wallpapers, subscriptions to lifestyle text messages, and a variety of entertaining games.

According to a survey conducted by the company, 30% of women who have downloaded content to their phones learned about that content through the web, making it one of the top three channels for discovery. In addition, over 30% of women who haven’t downloaded mobile content say they cannot find any that appeals to them.

Focusing on women’s mobile lifestyles, LimeLife is looking to fill this void by helping female consumers access new and compelling ways to use their mobile phones.

Turning mobile phones into handheld navigation systems

Turning mobile phones into handheld navigation systems

Do you spend too much of your time in the car traveling from one appointment to another with MAPQUEST print outs in the passenger seat? Thank goodness MAPQUEST has launched a MUST-HAVE service extension to its already popular brand called MAPQUEST NAVIGATOR. http://www.mapquest.com/mobile/

In a nutshell, MAPQUEST NAVIGATOR is a Global Position System (GPS) enabled application that provides a seamless voice guided navigational experience, turn-by-turn directions, and moving maps – all while allowing the cell phone user to receive phone calls.

Just like the more expensive in car navigation systems (priced between $600 and $2000), MAPQUEST NAVIGATOR downloads a large corridor of route information, so in the event you enter a bad cell reception area, the auto route is able to continue guidance and reroute once cell reception is reestablished.

Rebirth of a brand

Rebirth of a brand

There was a time, not so long ago, where the word WALKMAN synonymously meant mobile music player. For whatever reason, the WALKMAN brand did not evolve to meet consumers MP3 needs and as a result Apple’s IPOD has become the world’s must have mobile music player brand to date. So its about time Sony returned with a new device to challenge the competition!

SONY ERICSSON’s WALKMAN branded phone devices are super sleek and super stylish and importantly have expandable memory slots to make your on the road music experience worthwhile. http://www.sonyericsson.com

A lot of thought has gone into the user interfaces of these devices. They have three dedicated hardware keys, one to launch the music application and two on the side to control your volume. The music application is a new Symbian UIQ app, and uses the touch screen for ease of user navigation. Similarly, users can browse album art associated with the songs they load onto the device.

Three Must Have Products For Men

Three Must Have Products For Men

Okay, so I admit it, I have been long overdue for a grooming session. I like to think that I take care of myself pretty well. But it was time to up the ante. I’m one of those guys who expects the women I date to take pride in their appearance. Its not just about good hygiene, it’s about them being waxed up and ready to go!

This month, I test drove the following products and services:-

Gotta Grill

Gotta Grill

For those of you that don’t know me, I am a true bachelor. I practically eat out breakfast, lunch and dinner. Aside from being very costly to maintain, I don’t always put the right foods in my system. A home cooked meal is typically found when I visit my parents. Since they live several thousand miles away, I don’t get fed the way I should as often as I should.

Last month, I test drove Breville’s juice machine. You may be pleased to know that I wasn’t going through a fad. I am still juicing every day! Inspired by the belief that healthy, low-fat meals can taste great and be easy to prepare it was time for me to take the plunge into cooking at home.

This month, I decided to try out Breville’s INDOOR GRILL AND BBQ 800GRXL. RRP $199. It is designed with innovative features and heavy-duty components.

I have to hand it to Breville. They don’t just make handy appliances. They make
kitchen art. When I first opened the box and put the appliance on the counter, I marveled at how good this product looks. It reminded me of the expensive heavy duty outdoor BBQ I remember seeing at my friends home in Malibu.

Gotta Juice

Gotta Juice

An exciting thing happened to me the other day. I received a Jack Lalane Elite Power Juicer to review. Having seen infomercials telling me that ‘you gotta juice’ it was time for me to finally take the plunge. Apparently, the nutrients in fresh vegetable and fruit juice not only nourish your body internally but also externally for healthier looking skin.

So, armed with $60 worth of fresh fruit and veg, I rushed back from the supermarket to play with my new toy. Assembly of the Jack Lalane Juicer was relatively straight forward and I couldn’t wait to get juicing.

Several carrots later, I had a whole glass of fresh carrot juice. AMAZING!!! I have always tried to eat carrots but never found them all that pleasing to the palate. To my astonishment, Jack Lalane’s juicer had turned some stubby carrots into the most delicious juice I could remember drinking, and the pulp was neatly extracted into a bin attached to the reverse side of the machine.

From that moment I knew I was going to be hooked!
