In today's day and age controlling one device with another is pretty common place. You can control your thermostat with a SMS message, arm your alarm system or even use your Blackberry to control your home theater. Of course using your Blackberry as a remote requires a stand alone device and a $100 piece of software.  For those of us lucky enough to own a Nokia N900 there is a new app called BlueMaemo which allows you to control a host of Bluetooth devices from your phone. Sony VAIO TT back from the dead as CULV notebook

A few months back the Vaio T series notebooks were phased out due to increasing competition from other CULV notebook manufacturers. They have resurfaced again on Sony Japan's wesbite, now they are sporting CULV processors and a slew of other features. While they look the same as ever there is a lot of new stuff under the hood. For starters new processor options: the Celeron SU 2300 (1.2GHz, dual-core), Core 2 Duo SU9400 (1.4GHz, dual-core) and Core 2 Duo SU9600 (1.6GHz) are all available.  The new T series supports up to 8GB of memory and new storage options  include a 500GB HDD or a 512GB SSD. Australian designer Michael Jenkins is shaking up the world of outdoor activity with his new Chariot skates. Half Rollerblade and half chariot, these fun looking skates are bound to catch on.  They strap onto your feet very much like traditional skates. There is a large diameter front wheel constructed of carbon fiber and a smaller wheel in the rear of the skate for stability. To move while wearing the skates one must essentially "ski" down the road which is exactly what Michael Jenkins had in mind. The combination of skiing and bicycling. Read The Full Story

Earbuds have become so boring these days. Sure everybody makes some kind of fruity colored or interestingly textured bud. But those just dont really do it for me.  I would much walk around wearing a pair of Solid Alliances new headphones. Which feature every thing from an apple with arrow through it to mushrooms straight out of a Mario Bros.  If you are feeling especially fun they even have some earbuds with little samurai swords. When I say new I mean designs, they have done this once before. With the same awesome results. Hummingbird bot could fight crime or save lives

Years ago if you were to tell a friend about micro humming bird bots I am quite certain you would be written off as a sci fi geek with an over active imagination. And perhaps that imagion is what spurred the research which led to the development of a tiny robotic hummingbird.  At 4 inches long this micro air vehicle or MAV can be in the air for up to 6 minutes while beating its four tiny wings at an astonishing 30 times per second. Is the iPhone 3G on borrowed time? Well. according to a user on Germany's apfeltalk forums it is. He recently ordered an 8GB 3G and while the item itself was what he was expecting the packaging was not. It was labeled as a 3GS. Was this a typo or did Apple mistakenly use the wrong label?
