CES 2008: Unveiled Pro-Pod

Interactive Toy Concepts broke away from the M.A.V.s to show us the Pro-Pod. The Pro-Pod, as you may have assumed, is built for your iPod. It gives your music a retro feel through its crisp and clear analog sound using modern digital technology.

It uses an advanced vacuum tube warming process and delivers a rich sound through the dock speaker system. It has a 16watt clarity, subwoofers, S/video and USB out capabilities.

CES 2008: Logitech Z Cinema 2.1 Speakers

The Z Cinema are 180-watt desktop speakers with a subwoofer, 5.1 digital input signal and SRS TruSurround. There is, of course, a headphone jack but also a media center remote.

It’ll cost $300 but you do get a lot for your buck. It has laser-tuned drivers to help with sound distortion, one-inch tweeters, three inch ventilated midwoofers and eight inch long-throw. Aside from the USB port it has for you to connect to your computer, it also has a 3.5mm auxiliary input so you can hook them into your Mp3 or other audio devices.

CES 2008: Logitech DiNovo Mini Wireless Keyboard

Logitech has another wireless keyboard for us today, it’s the DiNovo Mini. It can control your Windows Media Center on your PC/TV and it works with your PS3. You can expect in the United States and Europe around February, when it will cost around $149.99.

CES 2008: GE Infolink DECT 6.0 Phone Best of Innovations Honoree

The honoree in the telephone category was Thomson Inc.’s GE InfoLink DECT 6.0 Phone. It’s an interface free cordless phone and it delivers news and information from your broadband connection and at no additional cost. Also provided are preset news feed by MSNBC which are easily customized for your preferences.

CES 2008: HD Digital Light Link Best of Innovations Honoree

The Video Accessories Honoree was the HD Digital Light Link from OWLink Technology, Inc. It transmits high definition digital video, audio and controls signals all at the same time with one think, transparent fiber cable that’s over 1000ft.

CES 2008: Denali Limited Edition Best of Innovations Honoree

Niveus Media Inc.’s Denali Limited Edition took the lead in the video components this year at CES. It has video scaling up to 1080p, 2TB of storage and 7.1 audio. They also won and honoree in home theater accessories for their Sierra Edition.

CES 2008: UbiCell Best of Innovations Honoree

Samsung won an honoree over it’s UbiCell. The Ubicell is a compact personal base station for mobile phones and provides a secure, indoor cell service over existing broadband networks. More information can be found on the UbiCell here.

CES 2008: Drop Phone Best of Innovations Honoree

The Drop Phone (AKA Shooting Star), which was designed by fuseproject is said to “resemble a drop of water with a refined taste and sophistication”. It’s a fully functioning intuitive phone and it looks beautiful. It is, as the title said a Best of Innovations 2008 Honoree, even though Pantech said they wouldn’t be exhibiting this year. I think it’s sort of gutsy to put the word “Drop” in the name of your phone but it takes guts to make it.
