Sony Ericsson’s MBS-100 is disconcerting. It sits there, looking as though it might sprout legs or roll away at any moment. The speaker was designed to work with Sony’s Walkman phones, but it is compatible with any A2DP Bluetooth device. The speaker’s weight is less than 8 ounces and, combined with its single charge battery life of 5 hours, it is easily portable.

Arielle’s i2i Stream exists for the phantom situation in which you and a number of your close personal friends congregate in a room, headphones in, music blasting, and suddenly realize that you all want to listen to one song, which only one of you has. You think, “What can we do? We have no speakers, we have no laptop, we have nothing!” Then, it dawns on you that each and every one of you has purchased the same $69.00 device. You’re saved! Plug your headphones into the top of the i2i Stream, your MP3 device into the base, and flip over to one of the 7 colored channels. Now, you’re ready rock out.  Silently though, because you all have your headphones in.
