Boogie Board Released new Sizes and Accessories

Boogie Board Released new Sizes and Accessories

The Boogie Board product line has been updated to include the new sizes of 10.5 and 8.5 inch writing tablets, along with some new accessories. For those not familiar with the Boogie Board line-up, it is part of Improv Electronics’ Push Green efforts. The slate is not competing with new tablets like the XOOM or the Galaxy Tab. In fact, its biggest competitor is probably the white-board and eraser, or possibly even the post-it note.

Security Vulnerabilities on Square’s Mobile Payment App Found by ViaForensics

Most of us are probably tired of hearing about another security breach, but most of us would also think that all this press about security issues would keep companies at the top of their game. This new security threat is not from a server or data center, this threat is in mobile device (smartphone) applications found in both Android and iOS. Square’s mobile payment app is most disconcerting, but it is not the only company with app vulnerabilities uncovered by ViaForensics. The other companies on the list were also big names: LinkedIn Corp., Netflix, Inc., and Foursquare.

Report of Verizon Releasing Galaxy S II in July is Just a Rumor

Report of Verizon Releasing Galaxy S II in July is Just a Rumor

Reports that Verizon will be launching Samsung’s Galaxy S II next month are not correct. Apparently Verizon was originally quoted as saying the Galaxy S II will be released in July, when they later clarified their statement saying they actually meant the Samsung Galaxy Tab would appear in July. The carrier will still probably release the Galaxy S II, just at a later date. We have been looking forward to the US release ever since we got our hand on the European version back in April. We will just have to wait a little longer.

Google Launches Chromebook via Game

Google Launches Chromebook via Game

Google has started the preview launch of the new Chromebook in treasure hunt fashion. With the official launch on June 15, this seek-and-find game must be Google’s pre-launch ramp-up strategy. The game consists of clues, which are links, that take treasure seekers on a journey past technology milestones in history. The first clue was posted today by Product Marketing Manager Azhar Hashem on the official Google Chrome Blog. The clue takes you to a memo written by Tim Berners-Lee about the beginning of the World Wide Web (no offense intended at Al Gore).

Walmart Drops Price on iPhone 4 to $149 in Select Stores

Walmart Drops Price on iPhone 4 to $149 in Select Stores

The hard part will be finding one in the store. We were unable to confirm which stores will participate in the price drop or how many were still in stock. Walmart has sold out of the iPhone on-line at $199 in both Black and White. Verizon still has the iPhone 4 at $199 with new 2-year agreement. With the Holidays so far away, we can only guess that this move was based on the mounting rumors about the iPhone 5.
