I've owned this for... about 3 hours now and it's going back in the morning. Overall, I loved it and wanted to keep it, but one issue kept this from being usable. That issue is the extraordinary problem in SCROLLING! If you have a webpage that goes beyond the bottom of the screen (and what webpage doesnt?) there isn't an easy way to scroll. In fact, experience, their isn't even a HARD way. In theory you swipe a nail down the screen (I guess... it's not addressed in the slim manual) but only once in dozens of tries did I even get it to fleetingly respond. And even then it just jiggled a bit. I'm baffled that anyone allowed this out of the factory without this ability. Heck, I wasn't even able to configure Email because the last options that had to be filled in were below the bottom of the display. Well, I assume they were down there. I never actually got to see them. Overall I'm massively disappointed. Primarily because it had managed to wildly exceed my expectations up until then.

I managed to pick one up this weekend. While the screen is far smaller than an IPad's the device response was far better than I had expected. It has a few issues out of the box that they seem to be addressing with upcoming software patches. It under-reports memory size and cannot download apps. But both of these issues are to be fixed in the patch within the next few days. Likewise the manual talks about calibration of the touch screen. I have yet to find that control. I can check email, surf the web and watch Youtube videos. So for for $150 I am satisfied.

I am very skeptical of its price,it is absolutely impossible. Let me try to analyze its cost, Android 2.1 system requirements are very high on the hardware, CPU, motherboards, will significantly increase its cost. $149.99,are you kidding? It is not funny. So,just forget it. I have checked the latest Android 2.1 named "Gpad G10" and list price is $184.99 on Pandawill:

Based on the reviews up so far, it's performance is faintly subpar. However, looking at the YouTube videos of the guy's hands-on, it's not quite as bad as he's making it out to be. The reviewer is making the classic mistake of looking at the MHz and correlating it to what speed it ought to be. What I saw reminded me of the overall performance of an OMAP2 based device (namely the Nokia N800) and I'd expect a little bit of sluggishness from an ARM9 based device- and that at $150, you're likely to find an ARM9/ARM11 based SoC in the device instead of the CortexA8 based devices in like the Droid and the Incredible. Is it worth $150? I'd have to lay hands on one- but I suspect it's going to be "adequate" for the price-point we're seeing it at.
