Audiovox Mobile TV receiver adds support for Kindle Fire tablets

Watching TV on the go is a big deal for people who have long commutes each morning in the back of a car or on a train or bus. The ability to watch TV can also make a long road trip less boring for kids and adults. Audiovox has a product called the mobiletv receiver that offers live free broadcast TV on multiple devices.

The company has announced that it has added a new device that is now compatible with the Audiovox mobiletv tuner. That new device is the Kindle Fire line of tablets. Amazon recently released the app needed to tune into those live broadcasts. The app is compatible with the Kindle Fire, Fire HDX, Fire HDX 8.9, and Fire HD 8.9.

One of the best features of the TV tuner device is that it needs no internet access via WiFi or mobile networks to operate. Anywhere the service is supported you can get the free streaming live TV with no additional connectivity or service plan needed.

The Audiovox receiver is designed to plug into compatible devices using iOS or Android. The mobiletv device offers a program guide, pause/rewind functionality, and an internal battery good for four hours of viewing per charge. The MSRP for the Audiovox mobiletv tuner is $129.99.
