barnes__noble_logoBarnes & Noble is teaming up with AT&T starting today to bring free Wi-Fi to hotspots at their stores. Now patrons will be able to access the internet while browsing for books and will be encouraged to use the e-book store.

Once you sign up, you’ll receive coupons, best-seller list recommendations, signing info and event announcements. All in all, it’s a good way to bring together the bookstores’ e-book efforts and the brick and mortar locations.

All of this falls right in line with Barnes & Noble’s e-book efforts, which include recently teaming up with Fictionwise and Plastic Logic to develop their own iPhone app and e-book reader.
