I’m sure you’ve heard the old saying that “no press is bad press” right? Someone might want to let AT&T know.

As it turns out, they don’t mind you linking back to them, so long as you don’t say anything bad about them. That’s right, they “reserve the right to limit your ability to link to them if the incoming link contains statements that portray the company in a derogatory manner.”
So what constitutes “derogatory” anyway? If we say one of your phones has lousy battery life and link to it are you going to sick your lawyers on us? That’s the perfect way to stop people from talking bad about you, just tell them that you’ll sue them if they don’t stop. That always works

I know this is splitting hairs but, it’s technically not “their” phones. If a phone is crappy, it’s the vendors fault – not AT&T. Now, it’s a different story if we write about how horrible their service is or their customer care sucks.
