I asked an AT&T sales agent and they stated that “the service will re-launch later this year with a variety of service enhancements such as a higher level of Total-home DVR integration and enhancements”. I could not get a confirmation that is was a part of “MediaRoom” or “MediaRoom 2.0″ but my guess is that it will re-launch alongside Windows 8 and a possible integration with Windows Media Center (finally !!).

Another note was that even if I could get a hold of the “XBOX 360 hardware kit” that was sold for $99 from AT&T, they would not be able to activate the service until it is re-launched later this year.
